Florida Arborist Certifications

Our Florida Certified Arborist, Dani Keller, Investigating a Tree Hole

Even though it’s often well-meaning, bad tree advice is rampant. Without a true expert, it’s easy to overestimate or underestimate tree risks. Homeowners are often led to either ignore real risks or remove trees because of misguided predictions of a tree failing and falling.

Fears of damage to their homes and injuries to their families understandably motivate homeowners to over-trim their trees. Ironically, this topping or sidewalling to contain tree growth actually backfires because it stimulates rapid growth and encourages rot in large wounds that can bring trees to their knees prematurely. This is where a certified arborist comes in. While respecting homeowner’s wishes, an adept arborist can suggest interventions to better achieve their underlying intentions of home and family safety.

Arborist certifications are prized credentials because of the rigorous standards set by the International Society of Arboriculture. ISA provides a rhythm of lifelong training to equip arborists with the science-based knowledge upon which to provide expert tree advice to you. This training includes intensive study that leads to a rigorous, 10-part exam, followed by ongoing education required to maintain certification. At Tree Work Now, our newer arborists also receive mentoring from our more seasoned arborists to ensure they have more-than-adequate experience to complement their knowledge. Feel free to verify that our certifications are valid and current at the ISA website below. We look forward to showing you what makes us Central Florida’s most-trusted tree experts!
